Why do people trash Kentucky?
Course, everywhere has snobby people but those people that trash our 'southern hospitality' or whatever y'all call it is ridiculous These people just travel to the wrong places in Kentucky. I live in a very small town in Kentucky that's not on the map, and rarely antibody's heard of but it's the most beautiful place you'll ever see. Honestly, Louisville and Frankfort are the worst town in our state. Anywhere else you'll fit right in no matter. So tell me what the hell are y'all trying to gain by trash in one of the most beautiful states in our nation? Yeh all you liberals and shi can say were untrustworthy conservatives but in the end well be the ones holding our country up above the water when were goin under. NYC CITY GIRL MOVING TO KENTUCKY??!!!?
I thought nyc sucked and I've dreamt of California. It sounds more me. But my mom wants to move to Kentucky. I thought the landscapes were amazing but I can't imagine living there I thought there were malls and buildings. But I've read that's not the case and that people are rude and impolite with bad accents. That not being a christian is bad and that public schools suck over there. Everyone living in Kentucky has told me that it's a hell hole and all want to leave.
I'm midwest. Is it me or does the Kentucky accent sound pretty where others sound "South"?
Some southern accents sound grating to my ears. Where I strain to understand I've heard I have an accent but accused of everything other than N.Y. or South Is it a socioeconomical thing with the accents? I've never heard a southerner try to sound north. THAT would be interesting. I would never mimic a southern accent knowing it would just sound offensive. But the Kentucky sounds simply " singsong" to me. It's nice.
