Why are they saying that Prop 8 in California & Question 1 in Maine is about teaching it in schools?
There was a question last night asking about the commercial for Question 1 in Maine, and it seemed so close to the commercials in California about Prop 8. And as far as I know Prop 8 was about same sex marriage & had nothing to do with it being taught in schools. The schools don't even talk about Heterosexual marriage, so why would they even have to bring up same sex marriage? It seemed like they tried to give adults the idea that giving someone the natural born right to marriage would affect children. I don't understand why they would do that, do you?

Come on now I know there are people out there are are just pissed right off at the idea of gays having a say in the school curriculum's... tell the truth now what are your views on homosexuality in Maine schools.I personally feel it is ok to teach kids about homosexuality seeing as eventually they will find out about it and really? how long do parents think they can keep the secret? how long do you think you can hide homosexuality from children?Surely when a child walks in on they're mother and father " making love" people are ok with telling the child what's what but when it is a man and another man people get mad and say that homosexuality is impure and is a sin.I say " impure" and " sin" as a sheer biblical term as I personally feel nothing about homosexuality is a " sin" unless it is doing harm to people either mentally or physically.I don't go to Maine as I'm already graduated but I feel that this must be addressed sooner rather than later which is why I post this.So please no being mean, no bringing God into this as I'm asking for YOUR opinion as a person, and if you feel uneasy with posting an answer here by all means PM me and I will be happy to hear from you.Thanks for your answers, Mel.
