Why do people hate Maryland in General?
Well as you may infer I am living and raised in Maryland. People that live here don't hate other states. We actually support them. But when I see some of the comments about Maryland they are saying we hate this place and " who DOESN'T" . I want to know why?Also we do not have a over the top crime rate like they say. Maybe in the D.C. Metropolitan area but where I live there is nothing living in the suburbs . I have never had a crime occur around ny neighbor hood before. No murders or anything like they say. I live in Maryland, and have for the majority of my life Originally from Washington D.C. and still do not live very far from it I have been to other countries and parts of the U.S. and been told that yes we do have our own accent. Its hard for me to be able to tell my own accent. I and the rest of Maryland know that Baltimore has its own accent of which I have trouble understanding myself but I am not from Baltimore, I've also noticed that southern Maryland has a whole variety of its own wordage and tone similar to Virginia on its borders and distinct accents on the Delmarva. Where I live is not far from D.C. and is overall not too different in speech. I have had several friends from New York, Texas and Florida claim to have trouble initially understanding people from this area. So yeah.
