Question: What do you picture of when you imagine new jersey?

And mention where you are from too. I was born and raised in NJ, there are a lot of positive and negative stereotypes of NJ and its people, i'm curious to hear what people from different regions think about NJ. and for the people not from the United States, have you ever heard of NJ? you know, the state right below NYC...

Guidos with spiky hair. Girls with face tans and breast implants. The Jersey Shore. Lots of heavy industry (I've ridden the Acela Express from Penn Station to Baltimore...Jersey looks so nasty). Italians with mob connections.

I'm from Indiana, but I went to a three day concert festival in Asbury Park a few years ago. It was dirty and ran down, and there was a bunch of traffic no matter what part of the state we were in, so that's what I remember about New Jersey

Hmm.. I picture people with that cool 'New Joisy " accent.. love it lol I picture a city, polluted, bit dirty.. Like most normal cities.. Umm.. People not too nice/ in a hurry Traffic, loudness.. That was kinda some of the negative things.. but i also picture nice stores, wonderful sights, good job opportunities - Illinois.

I'm from Los Angeles and I the first thing that comes to mind now is my favorite show, Jersey Shore, Italians, guidos, Perth Amboy, Puerto Ricans, rivalry between NJ/ NYC, the "Joizy " accent, polluted and pretty much it. I've been there twice to visit family. Lol

When I imagine New Jersey, it's the Jersey Shore. people from around here always go down to the beach during summer.
