Question: Is a black person born to two nigerian parents in new york considered african-american?

Well Ill answer for you...No A black person born to two Nigerian parents in New York is not African- American, they are still Nigerian.You cant M- A- G- I- C- A- L- L- Y take on a heritage thats over 400 years old because simply born here. Thats like a Chinese person born in Germany claiming thier ethically German..Doo you believe in magic? I sure dont...If there is magic, I want to see who transforming these Africans into African- Americans..

NO american born black people born from foreign black immigrants, like nigeria for example would be called nigerian american. on a form or application when they are asked about their race they will say african american/ black but socially and by he government they are not.

Well since they were born in America they are automatically African-American. They may have a nigerian accent and go by nigerian beliefs but if they were born on American ground that makes them African-American.
