Does anyone know where I can volunteer on Christmas Day, in Portland, Oregon?
My wife and I don't have much money but, would like to volunteer our time on Christmas Day. I would really enjoy spending time at a retirement home or maybe a homeless shelter. It seems difficult to find anything that doesn't need some sort of prior training. We may decide to make this a regular monthly thing but, can't commit a specific amount of time.
Do I tip gas attendants in Oregon?
I just moved to Oregon from another state. In the state of Oregon, it is actually against the law to pump your own gas. They have attendants that do it for you. Since i have never experienced this service before, i do not know what the proper etiquette is. Do i tip them? Always, or only if they are nice? If they are rude, should they be tipped? If i do tip....how much? Is the tip the same if i fill up an empty tank verses only putting in ten bucks? Thank you in advance for your advice.

I am looking for these qualities in the state neighborhood Affordable living better than Calif Good job market I am currently in research administration , good schools, low crime neighborhood, diversity I would like to see a mixture of different ethnicities, but it is more important for the ideology of the people to be accepting open of differences , and opportunities to get outdoors to hike, skate, or have family outings.
