I used to live in Norfolk, for about 12 years. I lived about 500 feet from one of these churches and they really rocked the roof off, on Wednesdays and Sundays with their music.So I have no doubt that this teacher thought that she would be helping her students by anointing them and their desks, power of God and all that, and the Norfolk kids really need help. Most of the city is a big ghetto. Im not trying to excuse what this teacher did Im Jewish and dont even believe in Jesus but I am trying to give you an idea of the background of the community, the teachers there, and the students, for context.Do you believe that what this teacher did overstepped the boundaries of separation of church and state? Hey, I was looking at the site because I'm planning a trip to North Carolina and the City I choose has a hate group in it. I looked it up and it doesn't look that bad to me but I don't know. Hello, I am 14 and live in Chesapeake, I recently went on a trip to PA and helped at the nursing room and repaired houses, and I really enjoyed helping the community, I wished to further that experience, but all I find is a bunch of " save the lake" crap, I'm more interested in direct help to help people as apposed to making already livable lives better e.g. making the bay swim able again . I looked into Habitat for Humanity, but it requires you too be 16 . Does anyone know of any organizations I would be interested in?
